Hey, just adding some photos from this summer because Mel is leaving tomorrow and for all of you that know I am computer challenged, she has been adding the pictures in for me. Now I have to learn to do this stuff on my own so I am playing around with the blog. Wish me luck!

Wud Up Yo!!
Wud Up Yo! Things have been going well around the Fletcher household. Paige has totally adjusted to the new addition of the family. She tries to help out when he's crying.... i.e...trying to force the pacifier in his mouth, rocking him hard, and throwing his blanket on him! She really is trying she just doesn't know how to be gentle. Paige now carries a hot pink, rhinestone purse and wears a colorful beaded necklace wherever she goes. She loves Melanie and calls her "Dada" (I've tried to teach her Melanie and Mel but she doesn't get it). The most exciting news is that Paige will be doing a dance class called "Shake, Rattle & Roll" starting next week. She will even be in a dance recital at the end of the session. I am super excited, I only pray she will be just as excited.
Cortland is getting big. He enjoys looking out the window from his swing and taking naps outside in his covered bouncer. Most of all he LOVES being held!!!
I am feeling tons better since Steele's birth and have started to take daily walks with the kiddos and Mel around the development. I hope to be working out at the gym by next week. London (Bam) is doing well. He is home from camp and is enjoying having more time to spend with the children. Melanie will be going back to school (Go Cats!) and therefore she's leaving us next week! We're going to miss her but she says to save her a room when the house is built!
Holla!!!

Oh Yeah....The Baby Daddy!!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the baby daddy! London (Bam) is doing well, he stops by daily on his breaks from camp to see Steele and Paige. He is missing them but at least it's one week down, 3 weeks to go!
He's Here!!
He's finally here! Cortland Steele Fletcher was born Jully 22, 2008, 6lbs. 15oz. and 19 inches long. The labor went well I was admitted to the hospital at 7:30am, they broke my water at 8:30am and was given my epidural at 11:00am. The man of Steele was born a 3:00pm after about 15 minutes of pushing.
Paige is adjusting well to Cortland. She can even say "brother"! She kinda treats him like a little puppy and pets his head all of the time. I have to continually remind her to be gentle but I don't think she really understands that word yet. Besides that she basically just ignores him.
I am doing well but I have to make myself sit still. My sister was here for a week and that was awesome! She and Paige played soooooooooo hard as if they were BFFs. It was actually quite sickening but it was great to see Paige having so much fun because I was so worried about her feeling left out and not being able to have as much time with me. That's why I have to tell myself the more I relax now the faster I will heal and be able to spend some quality time with P. Siddy! My cousin Melanie came yesterday so it will be great to have her here to help out now. I've also been blessed to have the friends that I have made here in VA offering their help as well. I think I actually forgot about the necessary healing and resting process after having a baby.
I am also happy to say that Cortland goes to bed around 8:30pm or 9:00pm and then wakes at around 2:00am. He goes back to sleep and wakes around 6:00am. This is such a break from him waking up every hour the first two nights he was home. Actually, Melanie just informed me that Steele is awake so, Ciao for now!

It's Set!!
It's all set! I will be getting induced on July 22nd at 7:30am. I am super excited and truly anticipating the arrival of Cortland. I am going to finish up those last minute things this week and get Paige's outfits all washed and ironed for the arrival of Auntie (that's, Adrienne) so she won't have to do too much thinking. I can't wait to hear the reaction of family and friends to Cortland Steele's name!! Some are going to love it, while others will hate it, oh well. I am also eager to see Paige's reaction to the baby. Well, only 8 more days of waiting....YAY!
